Terms and Conditions
Introduction
Welcome to Justico.ai (the "Website"). By accessing or using our Website and services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you ("you" or "the User") and Justico ("we", "us", or "our"), which operates the Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Service. Justico provides an AI-powered legal information assistant designed to help users understand their legal situations. We aim to empower you with clearer understanding of legal documents and issues. However, it is important to note that Justico is not a law firm or a substitute for professional legal advice. The Service is provided for informational purposes only under the conditions and limitations outlined below.
Eligibility
You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use this Service. This means you should be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using Justico, you affirm that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization or company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
No Legal Advice
All content and results generated by our AI (including answers, summaries, emails from [email protected], or any other output) are provided for general informational purposes only. The Service does not provide professional legal advice, opinions, or recommendations. We strongly advise you to consult a qualified lawyer for advice on any legal matters. You should not rely solely on the information provided by Justico for making legal decisions or taking actions. We do not guarantee that any AI-generated answer or content is accurate, complete, or up-to-date with current laws.
No Attorney-Client Relationship
Your use of Justico does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and us. Justico is an automated platform, not a law firm, and no confidential or privileged relationship is intended or formed. Communications or documents you provide to the Service are used to generate AI outputs, but they are not protected by attorney-client privilege. Always keep in mind that Justico's responses are generated by an AI system and not by a licensed attorney reviewing your specific situation.
User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use
We strive to maintain a helpful and lawful service for all users. By using Justico, you agree to:
Lawful Use Only: Use the Service only for legal, appropriate purposes. You must not use Justico to engage in any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity. This includes (but is not limited to) not using the Service to plan or commit crimes, harass others, or violate any applicable laws or regulations.
No Violation of Rights: Only upload or submit content (including documents, contracts, questions, etc.) that you have the legal right to use and share. You must not upload content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property rights, privacy, or other rights. You are solely responsible for the content you provide to Justico.
No Malicious Content: Refrain from uploading or transmitting any viruses, malware, or any other code that could harm the Service or other users. Do not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our Service or the data contained therein.
Accuracy of Information: Provide accurate information when using the Service (for example, if creating any account or providing contact details for receiving answers). You are responsible for ensuring that the email address or contact information you provide to receive your AI-generated legal answer is correct and accessible to you.
Personal Data of Others: Avoid submitting personal data about third parties without their consent. If your uploaded documents contain personal data, you represent that you have the authority to share that data with us for the purposes of obtaining the AI-generated result.
You are responsible for your own conduct and any consequences arising from content you provide or actions you take based on the Service’s output. If you violate these Terms or misuse the Service, we may suspend or terminate your access.
Donations & Refund PolicyIf you choose to make a donation to support Justico, please note that all donations are voluntary and non-refundable. By donating, you acknowledge and agree that you are not entitled to any goods, services, or legal advice in exchange for your donation, and that the donation is made without expectation of return. Once processed, donations cannot be cancelled or refunded. We are a legal information tool and not a charity or tax-exempt organization. Donations are used to support the operational costs and further development of the platform. If you have questions about your donation, you may contact us at [email protected].
User Content and Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain any ownership rights you have in the documents, text, questions, or other content you upload or submit to Justico ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership over your User Content. By providing User Content, you grant us a license to use, store, and process that content for the sole purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license is worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and includes the right to transmit your content to our third-party AI processors and service providers as needed to deliver the Service. Your Responsibility for Content: You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to upload or submit the User Content to our Service and to grant the above license. You also agree that your User Content will not contain illegal material or violate any laws or rights of others. We are not responsible for any User Content that you or other users provide. While we do not routinely monitor the content users upload, we reserve the right to remove or disable access to any User Content that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law. AI-Generated Output: The outputs generated by the Service based on your input (for example, legal explanations, answers, or draft emails) are provided to you for your use. To the extent the output is derived from your own User Content or queries, you have the right to use, copy, edit, or distribute the AI-generated output for your personal or internal business purposes. We do not claim any ownership of such output. However, note that the output is generated automatically and may include information drawn from the AI’s training data or public sources; as such, it might contain content that is not originally from you. You should use the output in compliance with all applicable laws (including intellectual property laws) and understand that we make no guarantees that the output will be free from third-party claims or issues.
Privacy and Data Use
Your privacy is important to us. We strive to handle your data responsibly and in compliance with applicable data protection laws (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)). By using the Service, you agree to our collection, use, and sharing of data as described here:
Data You Provide: When you use Justico, you may provide personal data (such as your email address to receive results, or personal information contained in documents you upload). We will only use this data to operate and improve the Service, to communicate with you about your query (for example, sending you the AI-generated answer), and as otherwise described in these Terms.
Automatic Data Collection: We may collect certain technical information automatically when you use the Website, such as your IP address, browser type, and usage statistics. This information helps us improve the Service (for example, by analyzing usage patterns or debugging issues). We may use cookies or similar technologies for functionality and analytics, but we do not use them for advertising or to profile you for marketing.
Third-Party Service Providers: To provide our Service efficiently, we rely on reputable third-party services. By using Justico, you consent to our sharing of your content and data with these providers as necessary to operate the Service. In particular, you acknowledge and agree that:
OpenAI: We use OpenAI’s artificial intelligence platform to analyze your questions and documents and generate legal information or answers. This means the text of your queries and any documents you upload will be sent to OpenAI’s servers for processing. OpenAI may temporarily store or log this data to generate the response. (OpenAI is a service based in the United States; by using our Service, you consent to this international data transfer for processing purposes.)
Tally.so: We use Tally.so to power the forms on our Website that collect your questions, document uploads, and email address. The information you submit via our form may be stored on Tally’s servers so that we can retrieve it for processing.
Make.com (Integromat): We use Make.com to automate the workflow between our form, the AI processing, and sending you a response. The data you provide (your query, document, and email) passes through Make.com’s platform in an automated way to connect our services together.
Zoho Mail: We use Zoho Mail to send you the AI-generated legal answers or other communications. If you receive an email from [email protected], it was sent via Zoho’s email services. Your email address and the content of the AI-generated answer will be processed by Zoho’s system to deliver the message to you.
Data Security: We take reasonable measures to protect your data. For example, connections to our Website and forms are encrypted via HTTPS. Our third-party providers also employ industry-standard security measures. However, please understand that no method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We recommend that you do not upload highly sensitive personal information or confidential data that is not necessary for your legal query.
Data Retention: We do not intend to store your personal data longer than necessary. We rely on the above third-party services to process and temporarily hold your data. For instance, your form submissions might reside in our Tally.so account and emails in our Zoho Mail system. We will periodically review and delete data that is no longer needed for providing the Service. If you wish to have your personal data (such as your email address or uploaded documents) deleted from our records, please contact us (see "Contact Information" below), and we will make reasonable efforts to remove or anonymize your data from our and our service providers’ systems, to the extent feasible.
No Selling of Data: We will never sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share your data with anyone except the trusted service providers listed above, and then only to the extent necessary to operate and enhance Justico.
Your Privacy Rights: If you are located in a jurisdiction with data protection rights (such as the EU or UK), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, as well as to object to or restrict certain processing. We will endeavor to honor such requests in accordance with applicable law. You can contact us to exercise these rights or to ask any privacy-related questions.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that your data (including personal data and the content of your legal questions or documents) will be processed as described above and that it may be transmitted to and stored by the third parties identified. We select our partners carefully to help ensure your data is handled safely and lawfully, but we cannot accept liability for their operations beyond the obligations we have agreed with them. If you do not agree with this use of your data, please do not use Justico.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Justico is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and representations, express or implied, regarding the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:
Accuracy: We do not warrant that the information or results you obtain through Justico will be correct, reliable, or complete. The AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You are solely responsible for how you interpret and use the results.
Fitness for Purpose: We make no guarantee that the Service will meet your specific needs or expectations. (For example, we do not promise that using Justico will achieve any particular legal outcome or solve your issue.)
Availability and Security: We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that it will be free of viruses or other harmful components. While we aim for a smooth experience, use of the Service is at your own risk.
No advice or information (whether oral or written) obtained from Justico or through any communications with us shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Justico and its owners, operators, affiliates, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, business, savings, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service or any content obtained through the Service. This limitation applies whether the claim is based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In particular, we will not be responsible for:
Any actions you take or decisions you make (or fail to make) based on the information provided by the AI. You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions you take after using Justico.
Any harm, loss, or damage resulting from errors or omissions in the AI-generated content.
Any content that you or other users upload, or any outcome or dispute arising from that content (for example, if you upload a document you weren’t authorized to share, you bear full responsibility for that).
Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data, or any other events beyond our reasonable control (such as power outages, system failures, or third-party attacks).
If, notwithstanding the above disclaimers, Justico is found liable for any claim or dispute arising out of the Service, our liability to you shall be limited to the amount (if any) that you paid us for the Service, or EUR 100 (one hundred Euro), whichever is less. Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain liabilities (for example, liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or for personal injury or death caused by negligence). Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude liability in a way that is not permitted by law. In any circumstances where a specific disclaimer or limitation of liability is void or unenforceable, the liability of Justico will be limited to the fullest extent allowed by applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Justico and its owner(s), affiliates, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
 Your breach of these Terms,
Your use or misuse of the Service, or
Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party (for example, if you upload content that you don’t have rights to, or if you use the Service to engage in unlawful activities).
This indemnification obligation means that if a third party (or government authority) brings a claim against us due to something you did, provided, or otherwise contributed to while using Justico, you will assume responsibility for the defense and pay any resulting judgments or settlements, to the extent that the issue was caused by your actions or omissions.
Changes to These Terms
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time as our Service or legal requirements evolve. If we make material changes, we will notify users by posting the updated Terms on our Website (and updating the "Last updated" date at the top) or by other appropriate means. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of Justico after any changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the use of the Service (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law principles. By using the Service, you agree that any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Denmark. You further agree that we may bring suit against you in your country of residence if necessary to enforce our rights under these Terms, but in all cases Danish law will apply. If you access or use the Service from outside Denmark, you are responsible for compliance with any local laws applicable to you; however, these Terms, and any disputes arising from them, will be governed by Danish law as stated.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions of the Terms will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by us.
